[Bug 479002] New: glibc: drop glibc-2.8-revert-nscleanup.diff
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=479002 Summary: glibc: drop glibc-2.8-revert-nscleanup.diff Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jengelh@medozas.de QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: pbaudis@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer * Thu Apr 10 2008 pbaudis@suse.cz - Temporarily revert a namespace leakage cleanup in glibc-2.8 since it causes a lot of build failures It has come to my attention that SUSE added this patch to supposedly "fix" compile errors, but in the end, compile failures continue to happen on other distros that use a non-modified Glibc. By hiding these errors, one is not inclined to fix the program because one does not see any errors on Our Favorite Distro that is openSUSE. That is bad. Please drop that patch. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
