[Bug 336546] New: opensuse-updater-kde: keyboard usage problem
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=336546 Summary: opensuse-updater-kde: keyboard usage problem Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: tgoettlicher@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=180410) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=180410) screenshot A small leftover from bug 310369, but less problematic: Some terms, to avoid confusion: - "checked" means patches that have the checkmark set - "highlighted" means patches marked with highlight color in the name column When you open the opensuse-updater-kde detail window, all patches (except optional ones) are checked *and* highlighted. The focus is on the first patch. Now press the "down" arrow key to select the second patch. Result: - the first patch is no longer highlighted (but still checked) - OK - the focus (dotted border) is at the second patch - OK - but: the patch description of the _first_ patch is still shown :-( The attached screenshot shows exactly this state. The displayed patch description is for autofs, but fetchmail is focussed. This happens whenever you change the focus to a patch that was highlighted before. If you focus on a non-highlighted patch, everything works as expected. Therefore I guess that focussing an already highlighted patch does not call the "onSelect" event of the patch list. Proposed solution: Do not highlight all checked patches. The checkmark is enough. - or - Update the patch description on all focus changes, even if the newly focussed item was already highlighted. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
