It's not merely a missing utility but a "platform" that current openSUSE grub2 package do not support. I looped in Andrea’s and Jiri as they are the maintainer of Grub2 and probably a openfate is required ? Thanks for clarification, so the emu support (--with-platforms=emu) seems deprecated. :)
I would not say it so strictly. It's only unsupported. If you (the reporter) feel it would be of use, create a fate request for consideration...
