https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=212193 Summary: php function debug_backtrace produces "segmentation fault" Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: RalfBecker@outdoor-training.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Hi, every call to the regular php function debug_backtrace() or debug_print_backtrace() produces a "segmentation fault" of apache. Eg. the following one line script: <?php debug_print_backtrace(); ?> The system is automatic updated and shows no additional availible updates. The last php-update was 2-3 days ago: rpm -q php5: php5-5.1.2-29.19 rpm -q apache2-mod_php5: apache2-mod_php5-5.1.2-29.19 rpm -q apache2: apache2-2.2.0-21.7 Ralf -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I don't have a copy of that version atm in my devel system... if so, some patch to the zend_engine broke this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=212193 ------- Comment #3 from RalfBecker@outdoor-training.de 2006-10-13 04:29 MST ------- Hi, thanks for the fast response :-) I tried the regular php5.2 packages (not the hardend ones) 2-3 days ago and had the same problem. This is rpm -qa|grep php5 from my system: php5-5.1.2-29.19 php5-ldap-5.1.2-29.19 php5-gd-5.1.2-29.19 php5-mysqli-5.1.2-29.19 php5-wddx-5.1.2-29.19 php5-zlib-5.1.2-27 php5-mysql-5.1.2-29.19 php5-soap-5.1.2-29.19 php5-xmlrpc-5.1.2-29.19 php5-curl-5.1.2-29.19 php5-pear-5.1.2-29.19 php5-mcrypt-5.1.2-27 php5-bcmath-5.1.2-29.19 php5-dom-5.1.2-29.19 php5-iconv-5.1.2-29.19 php5-pdo-5.1.2-29.19 php5-imap-5.1.2-29.19 php5-gettext-5.1.2-27 php5-mbstring-5.1.2-29.19 php5-pgsql-5.1.2-29.19 php5-bz2-5.1.2-27 php5-exif-5.1.2-29.19 apache2-mod_php5-5.1.2-29.19 I do have some Zend extensions comming with the Zend IDE installed (info from phpinfo()): This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine: Zend Engine v2.1.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2006 Zend Technologies with Zend Extension Manager v1.0.9, Copyright (c) 2003-2006, by Zend Technologies with Zend Optimizer v2.6.1, Copyright (c) 1998-2006, by Zend Technologies with Zend Debugger v5.1.0, Copyright (c) 1999-2006, by Zend Technologies When I disable all of them, the segmentation fault no longer happens. Unfortunally that means, I can no longer use my main development tool the Zend IDE with SuSE 10.1 and have to switch to an other distro :-( Any other ideas? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=212193 judas_iscariote@shorewall.net changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Comment #4 from judas_iscariote@shorewall.net 2006-10-13 04:34 MST ------- ohh.. thank god :) this is not a bug in our package but an incompatibility between third pary extensions ( which are not supported here, nor by php.net) I can only give you one suggestion, after closing this bug as INVALID. get all the extensions update from Zend and install the php5_hardened packages which are NOW compatible with that products ( in the past they weren't remember, remove ALL the packages of your currenly php 5.1.2 and install the previosuly mentioned ones. I do myself run several external extensions with them and I don't have any problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
