[Bug 875489] New: libssh 0.6.0 update causes 100% CPU usage in x2goclient
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=875489 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=875489#c0 Summary: libssh 0.6.0 update causes 100% CPU usage in x2goclient Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: psychonaut@nothingisreal.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 SeaMonkey/2.25 The recent update to libssh 0.6.x in <http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/RemoteDesktop:/x2go/openSUSE_13.1/> has triggered a bug in x2goclient which causes it to consume 100% of the CPU when using a remote connection. The x2go developers already fixed the bug back in January -- see the mailing list thread at <https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/x2go-dev/2014-January/006857.html> -- but openSUSE 13.1 hasn't yet packaged this version. Please provide updated x2go packages in <http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/RemoteDesktop:/x2go/openSUSE_13.1/> so that openSUSE users can use x2go without experiencing this bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update to libssh 0.6.x 2. Run x2goclient and connect to a remote host Actual Results: 3. x2goclient's CPU usage maxes out at 100% Expected Results: 3. x2goclient shouldn't use 100% of the CPU Same bug reported for Fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1053923 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But I am not sure the new RPM package properly enforces the dependency on libssh 0.6.x. I was able to install x2goclient-4.0.2.0-1.1 with libssh4-0.5.5-2.8.1 without any warning. However, x2goclient 4.0.2 requires libssh >= 0.6.0; if you try to use it with an earlier version then it crashes with the following runtime error: x2goclient: symbol lookup error: x2goclient: undefined symbol: ssh_channel_accept_forward -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
