https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845615 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845615#c0 Summary: jEdit cannot find the docs in openSuse 12.3 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: doar_camil@yahoo.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=563192) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=563192) example jEdit User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 I installed JEdit (the Java Editor). The problem is that when I started it for the first time, it appeared it was lacking the welcome file, and now each time I launch it I get \"/doc/tips not found\". It seems that docs are present but not where jedit expects them to be. docs are in /usr/share/doc/packages/jedit/ but jedit expects them to be in /usr/share/jedit/doc/ I expect a fix for this (on openSuse 12.3, KDE desktop environment, jEdit 4.5.1 Thank you in advance, r+ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: NA Actual Results: jEdit doesn't find the docs Expected Results: jEdit finds the path to the documentation Package Issue, as reported in this -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But why is this filed against "KDE4 Applications"? Maybe that's the reason why it's being ignored. ;-) JEdit is a Java application and has absolutely nothing to do with KDE4. Re-assigning therefore...
