According to the changelog, it was removed by Thorsten Kukuk on Fri Sep 15 13:47:30 CEST 2006 as an obsolete file. I suppose the pam-modules can be obtained from the yast logs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=224418 ------- Comment #6 from christian.jaeger@rub.de 2006-11-30 04:01 MST ------- samba-32bit is already installed. After installing samba-winbind-32bit, the output still is the same: # ls -l /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf ls: Zugriff auf /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf nicht möglich: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden I also restarted smb in the runlevel-editor to make sure but the result still remains the same. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=224418 ------- Comment #7 from jsuchome@novell.com 2006-11-30 05:03 MST ------- What about samba-client-32bit? Still the same? BTW the error message is wrong, it is not related to /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf. If yast fails again, try calling "pam-config -a --winbind" from command line. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

BTW the error message is wrong, it is not related to /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf.
Sorry, that got past me. After installing samba-winbind-32bit, activating usershares works! Funnily, activating them crashes the gnome-main-menu and tomboy panel objects. Thanks for the patch - but I'm sorry, I'm away for about 3 hours now. I'll post how the patch worked for me later on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
