See reports: Bug 773058 - non-existent floppy drive enabled in BIOS causes hang while searching for partitions with 4 duplicates. One such: Bug 811901 - [openSUSE 12.3] installation gets stuck at linux partitions scan Please add a paragraph about this in the release notes, people are getting hit by this problem.
