The nvidia driver was installed with YaST from the official NVIDIA SUSE repository. Symptoms of problems: - Occasional freeze of screen (includig loss of connection to keyboard) during kdm display manager start at boot up (very rare) - When starting a 3D application such as one of the OpenGL screen savers of KDE or the game ppracer from the distribution (attached files are from the latter case) the program runs for a few seconds as expected - then all screen movement stops for a while (sometimes sound stops then as well) - runs again for a short time stops again - and so on. This becomes worse over the time ending up in many cases in a screen freeze if I don't terminate the application in time. - With the "nv" server and Mesa at least the OpenGL screen savers all work fine, ppracer at least does not stop but, of course, runs at reduced speed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
