This seems to occur between 10-20% of the time. On many occasions the missing characters are either parenthesis '(' or brackets '['. This isn't always the case. Sometimes the missing characters are just normal alpha-numerics [a-zA-Z0-9]. The failure to paste isn't due to me just 'missing' the first or last character, but something in the KDE4 copy and paste logic. Presumably something related to the "smart" copy-and-paste or "braket highlighting" feature. I have watched this problem for the past couple of months and cannot put my finger on the exact cause. I will try and capture screenshots of the behavior, but to date, I haven't been able to due to the fact that it will require a screenshot of every selection prior to the paste in hopes of catching this behavior. Are there any setting that I can turn off that may help? Let me know if I can send more information. Thanks. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select text on the screen using the left mouse button 2. Paste text with the middle-mouse button (eg. in kwrite, any edit box, etc.. where you paste it doesn't seem to matter) 3.
