[Bug 895674] New: Unable to install ANY extension via anyone with No Support from HTTP/SSL Self Signed or Otherwise
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=895674 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=895674#c0 Summary: Unable to install ANY extension via anyone with No Support from HTTP/SSL Self Signed or Otherwise Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: LibreOffice AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: secure@aphofis.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 I can download anything that's not over http:/SSL self signed or otherwise but if I follow the extension manager all the way I find the exact file I need and there it is a .zip file. If I let staff have a free for all download of *.* I'd thrown all my security out the window. Guys were better than this...just give us HTTP/SSL in a .zip or what ever, signed or self signed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Follow the extension manager and try to install an Australian English dictionary 2.I get a .zip file - I don't know about you but I filter out lots of executable file formats .zip being only on them at the top of the list.I really don’t know why we can't have an extension repo for Libreoffice 3. Actual Results: Access Denied and rightfully so to a user...with HTTP/SSL we can safely manage that one. Expected Results: In reality I think the best idea would be to have a community repo for LibreOffice with extensions in it I really do. You might add LibreOffice to the default spell checker too please for the UK/US...My big island doesn’t get a language module yet our words are more British but we use your keyboard of course Ill classify as Normal...Guys we are so much better than this and think of the children if you have too :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
