Could you check whether ALSA driver 1.0.15 from www.alsa-project.org still have the same problem? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Previous versions of SuSE have had this functioning ( I presume this was alsa 1.0.13 ) but I can't remember. This all seems to be the case with alsa 1.0.16 on other OSes also ( eg 64studio) I was able to use this card on SUSE as a multitrack recorder , this bug makes it pretty much useless now for recording . I don't have hardware to test the input on the card itself I presume they work and Headphones output on the front livedrive works fine. I have seen other complaints re this on the net I don't think it is isolated to 64 bit . Please give which (ALSA-driver) version it did work, as precisely as possible. This will narrow the search range greatly. Otherwise it's almost impossible to debug, especially when the developers (like me) have no test devices. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334541 User rick@thewhitehouses.org added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334541#c5 --- Comment #5 from Rick Whitehouse <rick@thewhitehouses.org> 2008-11-04 16:14:53 MST --- worked with alsa version 1.0.11 , I have compiled now every version of alsa from 1.0.14 to 1.0.18 and the problem is still the same . Other users have commented on the same in an alsa bug list with other OSes . The livedrive [ie which is installed in a 5 inch drive bay and connected by a lead to the soundcard itself ] of the Audigy is detected as the RCA auxillary input works , the digital input works , the headphone output works , however the mike/line input does not work for either capture or playback , also the midi input on the front does not work. The back mike input works , as does the midi input on the card itself . ( but this is not much when really you want plug a mike or guitar into the 1/4 inch front input) In the emu10k1 sources there are several references to "Line 2" which was the input which was what this input was detected as in 1.0.11 , however this never shows up in any mixers including "amixer". A mike "switch" has been added in the new mixer but this makes no difference Rick -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
