http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=610301 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=610301#c0 Summary: pam_mount misconfigured ? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Security AssignedTo: security-team@suse.de ReportedBy: eulenreich@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100423 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.3 I do use pam_mount for automaticly decrypt my home. I only edit the two files mentioned in the zypper history below. On every upgrade of pam_modulese when doing "zypper dup" I get this: --- 2010-05-28 02:06:30|install|pam_mount|1.34-1.4|x86_64||oss113|... # 2010-05-28 02:06:30 pam-config-0.73-3.6.x86_64.rpm installed ok # Additional rpm output: # /etc/pam.d/common-auth-pc: Unknown module pam_mount.so, ignored! # /etc/pam.d/common-session-pc: Unknown module pam_mount.so, ignored! # *** load_config (/etc/pam.d/common-account-pc, account, ...) # **** [account, required, pam_unix2.so, ] --- I think this is probably my misconfigation of pam_mount. But for I had asked in several forums and did not find any dokumentation I do ask this as a bug: How to make pam_mount known to my openSUSE-11.3 system? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.edit common-auth-pc and common-session-pc to use pam_mount.so 2.pam_mount works correctly 3.zypper dup: pam_mount is disabled again.... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Overlooked that, for I had done pm_mount config first for my Debian unstable. There is a different config: no pam-config but pam-auth-update. There should be made an effort to standardize this... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
