Both, actually. In one case it was copying a >3MB file to a CIFS volume. In other cases it was saving a file to the local ext4 volume.

Hmm, still it is not clear to me, the second case, saving a file to local ext4 from CIFS volume? and/or your applications running on CIFS volume? In case of saving to local volume, can you attach the oops?

Finally upgraded the secondary computer to v11.2. Unfortunately it does not exhibit the reported issue.

AFAIK the only differences between to two systems are: - the /home volume uses reiserFS instead of ext4 - it was an upgrade from v11.1 instead of a clean installation
