[Bug 216670] New: netpbm manpages are broken
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216670 Summary: netpbm manpages are broken Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: nadvornik@novell.com ReportedBy: ak@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I get .. zeisstopnm is part of the Netpbm package. Netpbm documentation is kept in HTML format. Please refer to http://netpbm.sourceforge.net/doc//zeisstopnm.html. If that doesn't work, also try http://netpbm.sourceforge.net and emailing Bryan Henderson, bryanh@giraffe-data.com. Local copy of the page is here: /usr/share/doc/packages/netpbm/doc/zeisstopnm.html Note that making the documentation available this way was a choice of the person who installed Netpbm on this system. It is also possible to install Netpbm such that you would simply see the documentation instead of the message you are reading now. .. Can the package please be fixed to include the full information in the manpages? It is considered obsolete by upstream maintainers. The package contains a replacement of man command that can display the html files, however I don't think such non-standard solution can be enabed in the distro by default. But then you should fix the manpages to not claim that they're incorrectly installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
