I noticed a lot of stalls (e.g. system reboot, a shutdown event is being executed over 90seconds max for ddclient.service etc...) related to ddclient and then figured that opensuse installed a newer ddclient recently (3.10.0) then I tried to figure out what is happening and found on their github about known issues especially in 3.10.0 up til the current 3.11.x releases. please check the known issues, especially ever since their switched over to CURL from a perl library and with HTTP 1.1 chunked transfers and all that.
