[Bug 485450] New: SuSEFirewall* scripts are hardcoded in /etc/init.d/network
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=485450 Summary: SuSEFirewall* scripts are hardcoded in /etc/init.d/network Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: grey-olli@ya.ru QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.6 SuSEFirewall* scripts are hardcoded in /etc/init.d/network . Some times SuSEFirewall is not acceptable (complicated setups for example) & user will replace them with own script. To provide firewall restart on network restart/reload the /etc/init.d/network must be patched - the function reload_firewall() is about to be changed to appropriate action with user script. If this function will take its action from some config value from some /etc/sysconfig file this will be a good enhancement IMO. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
