[Bug 813674] New: "Organize desktop by name" uses maximum height, instead of minimum, on multi-screen setup
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=813674 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=813674#c0 Summary: "Organize desktop by name" uses maximum height, instead of minimum, on multi-screen setup Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gp@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Product Management Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=533676) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=533676) Screenshot (lower left corner), observe how icons are cut off. I have a notebook with a vertical resolution of 900 pixel and an external screen with a vertical resolution of 1200 pixel, logically arranged side by side. In the past, when using "Organize desktop by name", this would use the minimum of the two heights, leaving some space at the bottom of the larger screen. That's not ideal (ideally we'd use the full height of the respective screen), but works. Now, with openSUSE 12.3, it seems to use the maximum of the two heights? In any case, after using "Organize desktop by name", icons on the notebook screen are cut off. See attached screenshot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
