We have a custom script that is run after kernel updates that explicit removes the old module and rebuilds it for the newly installed kernel (to workaround some distros ignoring/not supporting `NO_WEAK_MODULES`). The problem seems to be that scripts in `/etc/kernel/postinst.d` are not run after kernel upgrades. Neither our custom script nor the default dkms script are triggered when a kernel is installed (tested by adding lines to these scripts that echo to kmsg). This affects both Leap 42.3 and Leap 15.
