So I have to login then with username and password. This happens 2 out of 3 boot ups. Note: openSUSE 13.1 with the Xfce desktop, although I don't think that the desktop environment is relevant for this particular problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 13.1 2. Select automatic login during installation 3. Boot Actual Results: Often I still have to login with user name and password. Expected Results: I should login automatically every time It's openSUSE 13.1 with the Xfce desktop, although I don't think that the desktop environment is relevant for this particular problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

And yes /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager has DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN="myuser". That is a duplicate of bug#846832, it just looks a bit differently because in case autologin is enabled no greeter is started and it is the session that fails to connect to the X server rather than the greeter. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 846832 *** http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=846832 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
