When one fixes that entry in compliance with the Adobe PPD specification version 4.3 section 5.3 (page 56) to * FileVersion: "2.0" then the Splix driver fails with this message in /var/log/cups/error_log ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- SpliX Invalid PPD file version: SpliX V. 2.0.0 but the PPD file is designed for SpliX V. 2.0 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Ellenberger, when you install the openSUSE splix RPM package, you do not need to add its PPDs manually in YaST via the "Driver Packages" button. Instead in the Add New Printer Configuration dialog enter whatever you like as driver search string (enter your Samsung printer model or e.g. only "4200") to search through all available driver descriptions, see http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Printer -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
