[Bug 249287] New: kwallet password dialog appearing while main-menu is open locks desktop.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249287 Summary: kwallet password dialog appearing while main-menu is open locks desktop. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang.glas@ev-i.at QAContact: qa@suse.de I'm using openSuSE 10.2 and KDE. If the new SuSE main-menu is open and simulataneously the kwallet password window pops up, the desktop is completely locked. I cann neither enter the kwallet password nor I'm able to continue using the main-menu. Any other X11 application is laso unable to get the mouse and/or keyboard focus. killing the kicker process has no effect. Only after issuing kill -9 <kicker-pid> I'm able to stop my X-server in a decent manner. Suspectedly, this may happen with each modal window concurrently showing up with the main-menu. Maybe this related to a concurrent XGrabKeyboard() request. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249287 wolfgang.glas@ev-i.at changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Priority|P5 - None |P2 - High ------- Comment #2 from wolfgang.glas@ev-i.at 2007-03-08 05:43 MST ------- In my case, I had an egroupware addressbook configured using https peer authentication an kwallet came up to look for the SSL certificate password. Nevertheless, the restrictive focus policy of the main-menu is a severe bug, kill -9 kicker is not a solution, because I have to switch to the text console using ctrl-alt-F1, so I set the priority of this bug to P2. TIA for fixing this one. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
