I unpacked devel:tools:scm/git/git-1.7.5.3/Documentation and called "make". This, e.g., results in a gittutorial.7 file that I can view just fine with "man -l gittutorial.7": .. First, note that you can get documentation for a command such as git log --graph with: $ man git-log or: $ git help log .. I can confirm that the manpage is displayed fine there. However, simple man gitutorial displays those weird '.ft' sequences. (I did not investigate further).
Would it be ok to close it with "worksforme"?
