From Adobe:
** This has been fixed in the 8.1 version of the Linux Reader. That's expected to go live on adobe.com sometime around mid September. Would that work for you? The issue seems to be that the GtkTooltip interface seems to have been deprecated starting gtk 2.11.6 ** gtk still needs to be ABI compat to not cause the crash, but presumably we want Acrobat 8.1 as well. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Now that it's released before the RC1 deadline, I'm fine with an online update. So I should reopen the bug :)
IMO it would be very helpful if we had a xulrunner-32bit base package to use the 32 bit acroread on x86_64 with the same features. The i586 xulrunner RPM installs and runs without problems, but our package management cannot deal with that properly on updates. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

added baselibs config for mozilla-xulrunner181 in 10.3
more to be done ?
Taking care that the Xulrunner path is preset correctly if that's possible (I'm no acroread expert), and add a (at least weak) dependency to Xulrunner in the acroread package. If it's not possible, maybe add a README.SUSE that explains to what value the "libgtkembedmoz folder" has to be set. I'm sure most users don't know without a bit help.
other (older) distributions ?
Well, if we offer acroread as update package (maybe next security hole as I'm sure Adobe doesn't maintain the 7.x branch any more), then yes. Otherwise I think it's not necessary. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
