We have all workarounds in place again, but a fixed KVM would be better. It's supposed to be the default, but apparently something broke and it isn't. I also mentioned the issue again in yesterday's weekly qemu/kvm call and the conclusion was that we should switch to -cpu host as default as of qemu 0.16. 0.15 will come out in July, 0.16 will follow probably half a year later.
