When compiz is turned off it appears alright. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Assuming you are in a Gnome session check to see if compiz [desktop effects] is enabled 2.Click on clock in the panel 3. For once i was faster and have that one already fixed in the current compiz package. (check with rpm -q --changelog compiz) Changelog Entry: * Mon Jun 14 2010 dimstar@opensuse.org - Add compiz-unmanaged-window-position.patch, fixes window position of unmanaged windows, like for example the clock-applet. The package should be in the openSUSE:Factory repository and will be part of any upcoming RC and final release.
