And this position isn't my personal taste. It is the usual open source way to communicate to the developers of a project. And as already said there might be a way to teak bogofilter to achieve you intentions.

How should the user differentiate between "not spam" and "ham"? "Ham" is only used by the user if an email was marked wrongly as spam. Hence, if this does not happen, there is no need to mark emails as ham.

Then this is an issue of the work flow how the user filters the mail. But it isn't a defect in bogofilter.
