Does it work at all? Or do you want to change some settings with synclient and this doesn't work? Which commands did you use? What's the results with 'synclient -l' afterwards? I can't help with ksynaptiks here. I believe that's a KDE tool, which needs to be handled seperately in case we support it at all. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Example: If I try to disable touchpad with "synclient TouchPadOff=1" it is still enabled. synclient -l shows: TouchpadOff = 1 It doesn't matter which parameter I change (eg. enabling/disabling tabbing) - synclient shows the right parameter, but it doesn't change anything. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If possible verify whether the issue still exists with currently developed openSUSE Factory/SLE11-SP1. If it does please reopen the bugreport and set the product accordingly. Of course you can reopen the bugreport nevertheless, but that doesn't change the situation and the bugreport will remain open for the time being without being addressed. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Because I updated from older versions there was/is still a xorg.conf. But regarding http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Touchpad the HAL-config (/etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-synaptics-options.fdi) and the input-sections in xorg.conf conflicts. I deleted the input-section and everything works now, I can controll the touchpad. I'm wondering why other users dont have such problems? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Remove xorg.conf completely? Remove the section from xorg.conf? In any case the behaviour might be different afterwards. Better don't touch xorg.conf if you can't be sure not to break it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
