https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=671534 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=671534#c0 Summary: partitioner: importer ignores "no access time" flag Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- NOTE: I am not saying the other flags are imported, because I didn't test it. I am saying what I am sure about. Steps: 1. install system with /boot, /home and / partitions 2. set for each "no access time" flag 3. install system again 4. this time, at partitioning step select importing partitions 5. check all partitions options 6. /boot and / are OK, but /home is missing "no access time" flag -- the import is incorrect -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Then when installing opensuse again (as in original report) the noatime was not present after importing. So, I think, noatime is actually not set correctly for /home partition. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=671534 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=671534#c3 --- Comment #3 from Maciej Pilichowski <bluedzins@wp.pl> 2011-02-22 14:30:27 UTC --- Confirmation: I checked the installed system. Noatime is not present for /home in /etc/fstab. So -- the bug is not in importing, but setting the flags in the first place. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
