[Bug 1083473] New: Use systemd user socket for starting / enabling PulseAudio
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1083473 Bug ID: 1083473 Summary: Use systemd user socket for starting / enabling PulseAudio Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound Assignee: tiwai@suse.com Reporter: tiwai@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The PA upstream dev recommended to user the systemd user socket activation rather than the old way using the auto-spawn with XDG autostart script. For that, we'd just need to enable the system default user/pulseaudio.socket, not user/pulseaudio.service. And, user/pulseaudio.service needs to check /etc/sysconfig/sound:PULSEAUDIO_ENABLE variable as well, so that the old-school user with PA disabled won't hit it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
