[Bug 441015] New: nm-applet is only 1x1 pixel in xfce systray
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441015 Summary: nm-applet is only 1x1 pixel in xfce systray Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: tambet@novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: dkukawka@novell.com Found By: --- Subject says it all: nm-applet icon is only 1x1 pixel in xfce systray Other gnome applets (bluetooth-applet and gnome-power-manager, for example) show correctly, also KDE applets (kpowersave). It is only nm-applet that seems to have problems. Danny, a long time ago we had something similar in kpowersave. The solution was to remove a adjustSize() (QT3) call for the applet Icon. Maybe it's something like that for this applet. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The status_icon_size_changed_cb is only called once on startup - and then with size=1. So it might be that the applet is actually working correctly and the bug is within XFCE. I also found a workaround: there is a XFCE panel applet called "XFapplet" which can "swallow" GNOME applets. There you can swallow the Notification Area, where all GNOME applets (nm-applet and bluetooth-applet) will show up. KDE applets will still show up in the XFCE systray. This looks pretty usable for now. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
