http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1015195 Bug ID: 1015195 Summary: calibre requires at least python-Pygments 2.0.1, but 1.6 is provided Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: cornelis@solcon.nl QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Leap (both 42.1 and 42.2) provides python-Pygments 1.6 (although is does provide python3-Pygments). Because the official requirement for calibre is at least 2.0.1 I would like to provide a maintenance update, updating the python2 version to the same version as the python3 one: 2.0.2. I have it ready in my home project and tested it there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Does this fix something affecting calibre now, or a proposed future update of calibre?
Good point. The author of calibre states that pygments >= 2.0.1 is required. I did some digging: calibre runs fine without even pygments installed. You just lack some highlighting in some corner situations (such as javascript). And I cannot find what the higher version adds to it. Calibre can be very picky about its requirements, which is why I jumped on this, but in this case I think we can safely ignore this. So I withdraw my request. and close this bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
