https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=392750 Summary: fretsonfire from games OBS repo doesn't startson x86-64 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: cmorve69@yahoo.es QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: prusnak@novell.com Found By: --- I have installed fretsonfire-1.2.512-2.1.noarch.rpm but the game fails to start with the message:

It's normal that it ask for PyAmanith/SVG when the package uses PNGs? In any case I tried to install python-amanith but it isn't available for x86-64 since the build fails with:
g++ -pthread -shared -fmessage-length=0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.5/amanith_wrap.o -L/usr/lib64 -lamanith -lstdc++ -lpython2.5 -o build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.5/_amanith.so /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.2.1/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lamanith

for
if svgData.endswith(".svg") and os.path.exists(bitmapFile):
the game starts, but menu text doesn't appears. And even if you know the menu and manage to start the game: - "Lights" make strange/wrong things (is really obvious, just try it) - I think music isn't correct. When you "fail" you should listen something, but nothing sounds, and when you don't fail a second sound track should be played but you just listen the track that should sound when you fail. Looking to the Debian package: - They have changed the songs, seems there is a copyright problem with the original songs from the game.* - They have the same problems with the last version ( http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=454346 ), but they have a working 1.2.451 version. *
Due to licencing restrictions from the Finnish copyright association (Teosto), Debian cannot ship the songs written by the authors of Frets on Fire. Therefore, the Debian version of Frets on Fire has had the tracks replaced with free ones. Much thanks goes to Carlos Viola Iborra for providing the songs in the fretsonfire-songs-sectoid package under an open source licence.
