To me this seems to be fixed? Please reopen this bug (for yast2-maintainer) if there is still something left to be done. (In reply to comment #1)
Maybe suseRegister too.
On the first look it could be dropped, but we still should keep it as it would allow to connect openSUSE to an SMT server (update proxy) or SLMS. suseRegister anyhow is just a small perl tool and should not be required by anything in openSUSE.
