The other direction works. The reason is commit 5e322ff7de454404976368d00049b3b5773538a8 in kdepim3-runtime repository. meanwhile it has already been reverted in the KDE 4.8 branch with commit 14c7de0e97a835b04af600b11b1d88ccfcfe696f. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configuree a carddav connetcion to owncloud (or another carddav server). 2. Enter a new contact into owncloud 3. Yes, now everything works. I have tested KDE SC 4.8.5, KDE SC 4.9.2 (from KDE:Release:49), with eGroupware and owncloud on the server side.
