I think for the workaround it's important to say that it needs to be done with the X server stopped. First try did not work for me: rpm -e nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default --nodeps zypper in nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default <reboot> **not working** prime-select nvidia <reboot> **not working** init 3 rpm -e nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default --nodeps zypper in nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default prime-select nvidia not even a reboot rcxdm restart **Working!!** I've noticed the full solution is not persistent within reboots. But now I only need a restart of the X server, and then I can log in, fortunately control-alt-backspace works, but still not perfect. Any suggestion what could be going wrong?
