When I returned to the installation summary, I noted that at the bottom of the summary of packages to install, it said "Size of packages to install: 0". zero? And I think it should be computed faster - you don't need to care about the current partitioning and sum the disk usage for each directory, just sum the install sizes instead... The yast ui used to show the user the size changes on the system's partitions. You need the DU data for this. I can see this behaviour: - selecting packages for install in the package selector sometimes does not refresh the used / free disk space progress bar, in the bottom-left corner. For example, selecting for install "kernel-source" (about 200mb) does not refresh the progress bar / tooltip / percentage. zypp::DiskUsageCounter::MountPoint.pkg_size returns 0 for some packages.
