However, crippling the system is one thing, and hidding this is another story. So please provide fake samba packages. I mean I should be able to execute for example: smbmount .... and get: We are sorry, smbfs is not supported in opensuse. For further details please visit.... (*) I hope it is 100% understandable -- struggling with cifs took my 2 weeks to finally get the conclusion that it does not work and it will not work, after that I installed smbfs and kernel from alternate repo, and the rest took me 10 seconds maybe. So it would be at least a nice gesture to all opensuse user who use samba.
