Moreover I have selected "Do Not Install Any Bootloader" from the list of available bootloaders. Despite of this settings, my original bootloader has been overwritten. However, my configuration of fstab is a bit special. The disk is shared between openSUSE 10.3 and 11.1. The 10.3's fstab is: /dev/sda5 / ext3 commit=600 1 1 /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults 1 1 And the 11.1's fstab is: /dev/sda3 / ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults 1 2 (The shared /boot partition is caused by former installation of openSUSE on LVM.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

During the installation the USB disk appeared as /dev/sda and the hard drive as /dev/hda. However once booted the system kernel, the disk is seen as /dev/sda.
