[Bug 1044850] New: CUPS issue: No suitable destination host found by cups-browsed
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1044850 Bug ID: 1044850 Summary: CUPS issue: No suitable destination host found by cups-browsed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing Assignee: jsmeix@suse.com Reporter: sebastiankuhne1@googlemail.com QA Contact: jsmeix@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.114 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.9.818.50 Build Identifier: I am running a local LAN/WLAN with two machines included, both having openSUSE Tumbleweed installed. One machine (LAN connected) acts as print server with an USB-connected HP printer. Printing from server to the direct-connected printer is no issue at all. Via YAST, I enabled visibility of that printer to the local network. The second machine (WLAN connected) is intended to be used as client for the printer. The good thing is that the printer is visible in the clients printer setup via YAST. However, printing a test page leads to the message "No suitable destination host found by cups-browsed". Both Firewalls are set to "internal". "cups.service" and "cups-browsed.service" are enabled and active on both machines. The print-server is also configured as NFS-server, and the print client is configured as NFS-client - this works without any issues, so a network topic can be excluded, actually. I am not sure if this is a bug (internet research led to some results in the past, with indications that this WAS a CUPS-bug) or the settings are incorrect. Help would be appreciated. Of course I can provide more information if needed. Many thanks, Sebastian Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I've seen this issue as well, sometimes restarting cups-browsed multiple times helps.
Many thank for this idea. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. I even tried to restart all cups services with no success. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
