[Bug 514582] New: Unable to adjust screen brightness of PowerDevil profiles
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=514582 Summary: Unable to adjust screen brightness of PowerDevil profiles Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: homoludens1000@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060200 SUSE/3.0.11-0.1.1 Firefox/3.0.11 I'm unable to adjust the screen brightness of the profiles created in PowerDevil. Also, new profiles are set to only about 80% of screen brightness (which also can't be adjusted). Adjusting the brightness through KRunner (e.g. "Dim screen brightness by half") or through the Plasma Power Management Widget works, however. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Personal Settings > Advanced > Power Management. 2.Choose Edit Profiles from the left. 3.Choose one profile and try to adjust screen brightness. => Won't work. or: Create new profile. => Screen brightness is automatically set to only about 80%, and can't be adjusted. Expected Results: (1) Screen brightness should be freely adjustable in PowerDevil profiles. (2) The screen brightness in new profiles should be set to 100% by default (and these new profiles should, of course, also be adjustable). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm helping with a cleanup of KDE bugs that are from obsolete versions or may no longer be valid. This is so the developers can focus on developing openSUSE 11.3 Here is some information about this: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2010-02/msg00015.html http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/BugSquashing ***I'm closing this bug because it works for me in 11.2*** Cheers Steve -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Everything works fine, so the issue should be resolved.
