I read it before opening this bug report, but this bug report regards _saving_ files to a smb URL. Opening files works perfectly for me (as comment 39 in bug #443467 states), but saving files does not work. So IMHO this bug report isn't a duplicate of #443467. It works with the Windows build, it also works with the default package from openSUSE-11.1 => I feel that it is related to gnome-vfs. I upgraded to stable factory build just _because_ the default package did not work on smb shares. The default package did not even open files on smb shares (there's Bug #443467 about this).
