To be clear my issue is when attempting to create the tarball to extract, it seems like tar doesn't like the line `tar cf ../test.tar .` where it seems to be attempting to archive the directory `.` atleast on my machine this is what seems to no longer be allowed from the git version. So i'm wondering if its still possible to create a reproducer without this part, or if you can see it.
