[Bug 289570] New: powersave dynamic policy: tendency to get stuck at high speed
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=289570 Summary: powersave dynamic policy: tendency to get stuck at high speed Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: behlert@novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I didn't figure out yet how to reproduce it, but the problem looks like this. I use dynamic policy, I compute something (->hi speed), I edit something (->lo speed), repeat several times, I unplug the notebook, I plug it back, I compute, I edit, repeat several times, and after a while when I check the CPU speed it is at high speed, even if I only look at the text (no computation). But then computation (my program) goes, speed goes up to 2GHz, computation is finished, and speed is not lowered down. It didn't observe it on normal usage, you have to unplug and plug back your computer, and even that it does not happen always. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Surprisingly for me, it appeared that aMule even when sitting still (no downloading) can do some suspicious computation. I checked it twice by simply quitting aMule. I don't know it is the only reason, but for now I close this report. If I get any new info, I will let you know. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
