https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=771689 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=771689#c3 Charles Arnold <carnold@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |NEW InfoProvider|sylvain.chandon@id-2.fr | --- Comment #3 from Charles Arnold <carnold@suse.com> 2012-07-17 17:51:09 UTC --- What I see with rc1 is that when the "Xen Virtual Machine Host" pattern is selected at install time the first grub menu shows the following choices, openSUSE Advanced options for openSUSE openSUSE GNU/Linux, with Xen hypervisor Advanced options for openSUSE GNU/Linux (with Xen hypervisor) 'openSUSE' is the default selected. This entry attempts to boot the Xen kernel with the error from comment #1. This entry should be defaulting to the native kernel, not the Xen kernel even though the Xen kernel is installed after the native kernel. If the user wants to default to the Xen kernel that should be done as a post install change. 'Advanced options for openSUSE' takes you to sub-menu where you can try to boot either xen (all of the Xen entries fail on this sub-menu with the error from comment #1) or you can select the native entry which boots correctly. 'openSUSE GNU/Linux, with Xen hypervisor' boots correctly into xen. 'Advanced options for openSUSE GNU/Linux (with Xen hypervisor)' takes you to a sub-menu with just various xen entries where selecting any of them takes you to yet another sub-menu that can boot Xen correctly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This bug was actually dup of bnc#757895,which is what you reported earlier, on new grub 2.0 version. The reason that the patch was not included is because, at that time, upgrade version to 2.0. I then postpone it and will have to test against new version (or wish new version fixed this, but unfortunately not). I'll try to test the patch on new grub2 version and see if it still work. Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
