[...]" so this seems to be a valid syslogd syntax. rsyslog-6.4.x wants "local6.*,local7.*", that is: local0.*,local1.* -/var/log/localmessages local2.*,local3.* -/var/log/localmessages local4.*,local5.* -/var/log/localmessages local6.*,local7.* -/var/log/localmessages and the fails at start. Seems to be an upstream bug. This started to cause a start failure with rsyslog-6.4.x (bnc#780607) and seems to be a bug in rsyslog. Upstream report http://bugzilla.adiscon.com/show_bug.cgi?id=358, switched to use alternative syntax using semicolon separator. The rsyslog Author may address this issue upstream.. may take time.
