[Bug 822670] New: boot.sysstat cannot be enabled in YaST2 System Services (Runlevels)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=822670 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=822670#c0 Summary: boot.sysstat cannot be enabled in YaST2 System Services (Runlevels) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alexandr.malusek@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1425.0 Safari/537.32 SUSE/27.0.1425.0 An attempt to "Enable" boot.sysstat in the System Services module of YaST2 fails. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install sysstat-10.0.5-6.1.2.x86_64 2.Run System Services module of YaST2, switch to "Expert mode", select "boot.sysstat", select "Enable the service". Actual Results: A pop-up window with the message "To enable service boot.sysstat in runlevel B, these services must be additionally enabled, because it depends on them: boot.rootfsck, boot.clock, boot.cleanup." Clicking on "Continue" results in another pop-up window "These required services are missing: boot.rootfsck, boot.clock, boot.cleanup." Clicking on "Continue results in nothing. I guess the sysstat package hasn't been properly updated to reflect changes in systemd services. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It would be great if it could be properly integrated into systemd. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I haven't found a way to enable the service, but you can start it by hand by typing rcsysstat start
You can enable sysstat without yast using: systemctl enable sysstat This will ensure that sysstat is started on boot.
after every boot. It would be great if it could be properly integrated into systemd.
It's works fine with systemd, just there are some problems with yast. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

No one is working on it anymore. Use yast2 services-manager. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
