Could you post the output of the "rfkill list all" at this point ?
As soon as I click on "Enable Wireless" the connection is reestablished.

Yes, only the hardware switch shall hard un/block the rfkill. The status of rfkill reported in C#6 are ok. The problem here is that after the rfkill re-enables the wlan adapter NM doesn't try and reconnect automatically. Correct ? But, this is matter of NetworkManager (NM) or KDE in this case. If I toggle manually the value, then the led of the wireless is switched on but the "Enable wireless" option remains grayed and I am still not able to use the wireless. After logging out and back in again, using the GNOME nm-applet, everything behaves as normal but the remainder of my desktop is KDE. I'd love to know if a fix is forthcoming for openSUSE 11.4 so I can switch back. The only workaround that works for me (while still using the KDE network manager interface), is to uncheck "networking enabled" and then re-check it (caution: not too fast or it appears to go into a loop!) and *then* wireless stuff can be turned back on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
