The problem is fixed in amavis 2.8.0 The recommended solution (in the blog post) is to upgrade to 2.8.0. Workarounds: a) do not block banned file extensions ($final_banned_destiny) b) modify $banned_filename_re to not block "exe" files This affects openSUSE <= 12.2 (which has amavis 2.7) and maybe also SLE.
