The Xsession is then constantly crashing and trying to restart (in my case KDM). I had to learn, that no matter what the xscreensaver is always active after resuming (see bug 217362). The crashed Xsession seems to be caused by something else and I have not yet found what exactly. At least waking the machine up after only very short of a time in suspend lets it resume with no problems at all. (I have other trouble now since Beta2 with Suspend2RAM: *all* apps show hefty transparency after resume, impossible to work. Might be an issue with that darn i855 chipset of mine.)
